I wanted to create a scheme which goes well with my Rusted Claw Neophytes (https://paintpad.app/recipes/15712) but also somewhat resembled the Kill Team Termination brood brothers box art. So I removed the orange from the scheme, and exchanged the blue pants/fatigues from the neophytes to black fatigues.
This recipe will be focused on speed, and theremore you might think some steps are missing, or that some parts of the mini gets less love than others, and that is intentional. If you want to go further with some steps, then you absolutely should!

A fairly conventional method I use to paint the weapons of my Salamanders, with bluish highlights to distinguish them from their black armour.
This is a true steel legion scheme based on the Armageddon Codex era. Uniforms are mustard yellow and standard grey, while armor is greenish black. Camo on vehicles is dusty green tan and grey and accent stripes in red and white.
The lighter colors (skeleton bone, stone golem and corpse pale) are darkened more by the wash than the darker colors, that's why i use the same color for highlighting those lighter colors instead of using a lighter highlighting color as i do for the darker colors.
Preparation step two is to saturate the base texture with it's high surface area, which can be messy and spill on an already painted miniature. The small amount of black spill on the base in step 3 will be easily fixed in basecoating step one without having to paint the entire base.
This detailed guide will help you create volcanic-themed bases with a dynamic glowing lava effect and rugged rocky textures. Using AK Interactive Volcanic Earth for the rocky textures and Mordant Earth for the cracked lava, this method will give your bases the fiery, molten look that fits perfectly with the Horns of Hashut.

This is a semi-speedpaint for a clean blue Thokt Necron-based army, and my aim is a semi-balance between speed and looks. However, I’m looking to cut some steps as I get the hang of it. The preview photo and the inspired steps are from https://www.reddit.com/r/Necrontyr/comments/woxfkc/went_for_the_ice_white_theme_in_the_end_and_tired/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Pale nurgle flesh for a cold feel. This is just a copy of Duncan's "how to paint foetid bloat drone flesh" on youtube.
Colors for a regular Arco-Flagellant

This recipe will detail how I painted the Griffin from the BattleTech Beginner Box. It is done in a very non-traditional style, using lots of metallic paints, meant to evoke the quasi-Napoleonic elements of the setting.
